Tips to avoid toenail fungus

A Nail fungus is a fungal infection of fingernails and toenails. It is the most common disease of the nail which constitutes about the half of nail abnormalities. It is caused and grow in the moist areas, in warm, etc. People can avoid the toenail fungus by following some of the tips:

  • Usually wear the natural cotton socks
  • Regularly wash the towel using during the toe nail fungus infection.
  • Don’t share the towel with others to avoid the infection as it can spread
  • Try to use the paper towel or toilet paper to dry the infected area
  • Try to wear the breathable shoes
  • If the toe nail is infected then avoid using the nail polish
  • Reducing the sugar consumption will help to treat the toe nail fungus

The infected person should wear the 100% wool, cotton or silk socks which will absorb the moisture from the feet and will provide the good ventilation. If the socks get damp, then take them off and wear clean. Dry and cotton socks. To cure the toenail fungus before wearing the shoes, you can sprinkle some anti bacterial powder in the shoes. It is very communicable disease so the infected people should not share their towel, cloth, shoes or other personal items with others.
